Trump Signs Quantum Tech Orders; U.S. Targets 2028 Quantum Computer

Trump has signed two executive orders to put the United States at the forefront of the global quantum technology race and they come as China is making radical progress in the field so it is leading the race for technology supremacy.

The first order has launched a national effort to build a quantum computer by 2028 at a Department of Energy facility. Besides computing, it will also focus on quantum sensors, secure quantum networks, workforce training and resilient supply chains.
