Dengue Vaccine Aspirant’s Stock Surges 40% in Five Sessions

Shares of Panacea Biotec rose again in early trading on Tuesday as the stock rose to its highest intraday level since the first week of March and rose 40% from the last week of April. In the past five trading sessions, the scrip has soared more than 40%, a remarkable turnaround of a company that had seen its stock fall 70% from 2021 to 2024 levels. Panacea Biotec now has an all-time high, which signals investor confidence.

Encouraging to the work of the DENSTAR (Dengue Efficacy and Safety Trial in African Region) project. This landmark project is putting the vaccine candidate for dengue DengiAll on the fast track to regulatory approval in sub‑Saharan Africa. Investors are celebrating the development as a new stage for Panacea Biotec, which has a long history of innovating vaccines.

The €11.1 million project began on June 1, 2026 and had the main aim of speeding the approval and deployment of DengiAll. DengiAll is a single dose tetravalent dengue vaccine targeting all four strains of the dengue virus and presents a coherent solution for a mosquito-borne disease that is one of the world’s fastest spreading. Panacea Biotec formally launched the project on June 8, 2026 and was very much in the news.

Market analysts say that the DENSTAR project is transformative and not only for Panacea Biotec’s growth trajectory but also for global public health. Dengue is still killing millions each year, and a safe vaccine could open a billion dollar market. DengiAll’s rapid stock recovery is a sign of hope that DengiAll is going to be able to succeed where earlier dengue vaccines have been failing to do so with efficacy and safety.

Panacea Biotec’s stock market rally with the launch of the DENSTAR project has been fuelled by investor interest in its dengue vaccine candidate. DengiAll is now on a track to become licensed in Africa and the company is back in the market with DengiAll and is now a part of the fight against dengue worldwide.
