Gandhar Oil Shares Hit 20% Upper Circuit After Stellar Q1 FY27 Results

Gandhar Oil Refinery (India) Ltd. shares soared 20% to hit the upper circuit today after the company reported an outstanding set of financial results for the first quarter of FY27. Investors hailed the sharp improvement in earnings, sending the stock to its upper price band as buying interest remained strong throughout the trading session.

The specialty oils and petroleum products manufacturer reported robust growth in all key financial metrics as revenues grew, operating margins were better, and domestic and export businesses were strong.

Strong Q1 FY27 Performance

On a consolidated basis, Gandhar Oil reported:

Out of total revenue, revenue was ₹1,731.93 crore, up 91.8% from year-ago. Net profit: ₹192 crore, up from ₹26.2 crore in the current quarter. EBITDA: ₹281 crore— up sharply from ₹46 crore. EBITDA margin was raised to 16.2% from 5.1% a year ago.

The impressive earnings were the result of good operational execution and a significant improvement in profitability, and the company’s growth outlook could be very much supported by the investor base.

Operating Margins Improve Significantly

The company also posted good standalone numbers in the quarter. Revenue increased significantly with a higher sales volume and EBITDA nearly quadrupled in comparison to the previous quarter. Operating margins have improved dramatically and the product mix is better than ever, which has helped Gandhar Oil to achieve one of its strongest quarterly results so far.

Management Remains Optimistic

Gandhar Oil has historically experienced 8–11% volume growth and we expect that to continue to do so in the coming years. The company is also growing in global markets and has exports to over 100 countries.

The personal care segment was the best-performing business during the June quarter, management said, contributing to growth and profit.

Investors Reward Strong Earnings

Investors rushed to buy the share after the earnings announcement and pushed it to 20% high levels of the market. Analysts said revenue, profit, and margin growth in the market saw the strong growth and strong business fundamentals and future potential to improve.

The strong quarterly performance also strengthens Gandhar Oil's position as a leading manufacturer of specialty oils, white oils, lubricants, petroleum jelly, and process oils, focusing on personal care, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.

Gandhar Oil also has a strong order pipeline and international presence and profitable growth plan to build on in the coming quarters. Investors will monitor whether it is able to grow margin expansion and volume growth at a time when the oil market is changing and the company can sustain them.

The impressive Q1 FY27 performance has certainly helped to lift market sentiment, and Gandhar Oil was one of the top performers on Thursday.
