MacBook Pro M5 Cost ₹70,000 More After Price Hike , Check All Apple Prodcut Hiked Price

Apple has said it will hike the price of its MacBook and iPad products in India because of the cost of memory and storage as a result of the AI boom globally.

The biggest jump is in the MacBook Pro space. The 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 with 16GB RAM will be sold at a price of ₹2,39,900 now ₹70,000 increase. That’s one of the sharpest price hikes Apple has made in recent years.

Meanwhile, the MacBook Neo has also seen an increase in price and is now at ₹10,000. The iPad Pro line has not been spared either with higher prices now on the market. Apple had protected customers from component cost increases until now, but it came to the point where it couldn't help but have to bear the load.

The reason is the six-fold increase in chip prices in the past year. Suppliers have focused on high‑margin AI and data center customers like Nvidia and OpenAI, leaving consumer electronics companies like Apple to absorb steep cost increases. Based on Morgan Stanley's assessment, this supply chain imbalance has led Apple to alter its pricing strategy.

Even with the price hikes Apple said it was still committed to delivering premium products and experiences. Analysts say it could also have a price hike on the prices for students and professionals who rely on Macs and iPads for work/school. Seasonal discounts will also be slashed, which will also squeeze consumer budgets further.

To sum up, Apple’s price hike underlines how the AI revolution is changing global supply chains and consumer electronics economics. The MacBook Pro M5 is now at ₹2,39,900, the MacBook Neo at ₹10,000 and iPad Pros are at ₹15,000 in price, so Indian customers need to be prepared for higher entry costs in 2026.
