Zepto Targets ₹80.1 Billion Share Sale in $837 Million IPO This July

Zepto, India’s fast‑growing quick commerce startup, is preparing for an IPO in the summer of 2026 that could fetch up to ₹80.1 billion in new shares, which would be part of a total of $837 million. As it’s competing against Eternal, Swiggy, Amazon, Flipkart, and BigBasket in the urban delivery industry, Zepto is targeting a July 2026 listing.

Zepto’s revenue grew by more than 50 percent to ₹226.24 billion in the financial year ending March 2026. Yet losses also rose to ₹59.05 billion as costs escalated in the fast commerce industry in India, which is still very competitive and expensive to scale up. But analysts believe Zepto’s strong revenue growth shows Zepto’s dark-store model and technology-based logistics network.

The filing also revealed that India’s Enforcement Directorate summoned co-founders Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra in April to provide details on foreign investments and shareholding structures. The founders did respond and received no further communication, and the matter has not deteriorated, the company said.

Zepto was last valued at $7 billion in October 2025, giving investors confidence in its rapid growth. Axis Capital, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs will manage the IPO for the company. Market leaders expect strong institutional and retail interest because Zepto is one of the best in India’s urban delivery ecosystem.

Zepto’s IPO will be a test case for the quick commerce sector, and there are always some questions about profitability and sustainability. Meanwhile, Swiggy Instamart and Blinkit continue to grow very aggressively, and Zepto’s strong performance and focus on efficiency will help it to get a successful listing.

Finally, Zepto’s upcoming IPO is a crucial moment for India’s e-commerce landscape. With record revenues, worsening losses, and intense competition, the company’s public debut will not only provide growth capital but also set the tone for the future of quick commerce in India. Investors and market analysts will be closely watching Zepto’s ability to balance expansion with profitability as it enters the public markets.
