Zepto Files DRHP, Set for Stellar IPO Debut on Dalal Street

Zepto started in 2021 and has built its reputation as a fast-track to groceries and essentials delivery service. Its concept of a dark store and technology-driven logistics services have helped it to grow in the big cities in India (Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and BigBasket).

The IPO is expected to raise significant capital from investors that Zepto plans to use to expand its network, build supply chain infrastructure, and invest in tech. Analysts expect the IPO could value the company at several billion dollars and thus indicate investors’ optimism in the growth potential of the quick commerce sector.

Zepto’s DRHP filing comes at a time when India’s capital markets are experiencing a high level of activity, with many startups going public. With strong brand recall, loyal customer base, and operational efficiency, the company’s strong brand recall, loyalty of its customers, and its competitive advantage, institutional and retail investors will certainly be attracted to it.

But Zepto’s IPO might be the perfect way to test the quick commerce industry’s ability to adapt to the market’s challenges in the fast commerce sector, as it has been questioned by industry experts how profitable and sustainable it is. But Zepto’s strong growth and continued growth, earnings improvement, unit economics, and focus on customer experience have helped propel it to a successful listing.

In fact, the founders of the company, Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, have said that the IPO will not only provide growth capital but also in turn enhance the level of transparency and governance in India. Zepto will enter the public markets to ensure that it is a pioneer in India's ever-changing e‐commerce environment.

With the DRHP on file, the next steps include regulatory approval, size of the issue as well as price band. Market participants will be keenly waiting for more details, with Zepto’s IPO set to be one of the most followed IPOs of 2026.
