July 2026 Tax and GST Compliance Deadlines for Businesses

Businesses and taxpayers must be aware of key compliance dates in July 2026 in order to comply with statutory obligations for direct and indirect taxes. If compliance is kept on track, business can run smoothly and fines can be avoided.

On 7 July 2026, all deductors and collectors must deposit TDS/TCS for June 2026. This is the first major deadline of the month and ensures that tax deducted or collected at source is remitted to the government.

By 10 July 2026, GST compliance will be the focus. GSTR‑7 has to be filed by TDS deductors under GST, while e‑commerce companies that collect TCS must also file GSTR‑8. GSTR‑1 (Monthly) is due on 11 July 2026 for taxpayers filing monthly returns.

For taxpayers under the QRMP scheme, GSTR‑1 (IFF) is optional for the first month of the quarter and must be filed by 13 July 2026. On 14 July 2026, deductors must issue TDS Certificates (Form 16B/16C/16D) for June deductions, wherever applicable.

The mid‑month deadline of 20 July 2026 requires monthly GST taxpayers to submit GSTR‑3B. For QRMP taxpayers, there are staggered deadlines for Category X States on 22 July 2026 and Category Y States on 24 July 2026. The staggered dates assist in the handling of filing loads across the system.

By 30 July 2026, compliance continues with the issuance of TCS Certificates (Form 27D). Finally, 31 July 2026 is reserved for ESI & PF corrections/reconciliations and month-end accounting activities, closing the compliance calendar for July.

July 2026 is a busy month for TDS, TCS, and GST filings. Businesses need to be on the ball to make their filings on time and avoid last‑minute rushes. Compliance not only keeps them from getting caught but also enhances financial discipline.
