Thyrocare Technologies Ltd shares will be on display in the market on Wednesday, August 12, as the diagnostics company is seeking a block deal valued at ₹1,000 crore. The sale price is 1,57,69,696 shares (up to 3% below the company’s close).

Thyrocare shares ended at ₹649.35 on Tuesday and rose 4% during the day, extending the company’s winning streak to three consecutive trading days. The size and quantity of the block deal will be such that it represents a big stake transfer in the company. Trading shares at a discount of up to 3% based on Tuesday’s closing price will make the deal attractive to institutional or large investors who want a look at the diagnostics business.
The stock price of Thyrocare is close to its previous high. Thyrocare reached a new 52-week high on August 12 after closing at the close of the last day.
But the rapid stock rise has also pushed some technical indicators to very high levels. Thyrocare's Relative Strength Index (RSI) for the latest market data was 73.77 and it is now technically overbought. An overbought figure does not mean a stock is going to fall but it means the rally has been strong and investors are worried about more volatility.
As a result, analyst sentiment for Thyrocare remains good. All seven analysts covering the company have a buy rating, according to data collected by Bloomberg. However, the consensus target price of ₹653.43 is less than 1% higher than the previous closing price of ₹649.35. So the stock has rallied in recent weeks to be close to the average analyst valuation target.
The large transactions involving Thyrocare are not new. In October 2025, promoter entity Docon Technologies sold more than 53 lakh shares and several mutual funds - ICICI Prudential, HDFC Mutual Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, etc. - participated on the buying side.
The latest ₹1,000-crore block deal will therefore be closely watched by investors for details about the seller, buyers and final transaction price. Thyrocare shares have already shot up considerably in the past year and the deal could signal institutional demand and investor appetite for the company’s stock.
