OnePlus has said it will not exit the Indian market and its local operations will continue.

OnePlus is expected to close in a number of international markets in a more global restructuring, it has recently been reported, and India is one of the markets that will be affected in 2027. The reports immediately put OnePlus users at risk for future software updates, warranty support, after-sales service and new smartphone releases.
The company’s answer to the reports was unequivocal: “OnePlus is not saying any speculation and our India business is still operating as planned and all local operations are going ahead.” OnePlus also said it will continue to serve Indian customers and is committed to launching new products, customer support and service.
India has been one of OnePlus’ most important global markets since the brand launched in 2014. They built a loyal customer base by launching flagship smartphones at competitive prices, then going on to sell premium devices, wearables, smart TVs and audio products. India has been a part of OnePlus’ global smartphone sales for years now, so it’s a valuable market for OnePlus.
Local analysts think that the speculation is a product of OnePlus’ wider restructuring. The company has already announced major changes around the world; discontinuing new product launches in North America and Europe and aligning its software strategy with Oppo’s ColorOS platform. So despite these global changes, OnePlus has confirmed that India is still the primary market and that it is not going to stop working there.
In fact, now that OnePlus is making it clear that their products are available in India, there is no reason to worry about device support and after-sales services. OnePlus customers can still buy OnePlus devices, accessories, and other products through official channels as usual.
There has been talk of India exits in 2027 but there is no official confirmation for this talk from OnePlus. OnePlus has not yet said it will leave India and is saying it will be in the market. We urge consumers to look out for official announcements and not speculation until the firm officially announces it.
