The company’s strong quarterly performance lifted investor sentiment, lifting the stock to ₹357.10 at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in morning trade. The stock rally seems to confirm Nuvoco’s growing confidence in the future of the company, the growing infrastructure activity, and steady demand in the cement sector.

Strong Profit and Revenue growth.

Nuvoco Vistas posted a net profit of ₹160 crore for the quarter ending June 2026 and 20% year-on-year growth from ₹133 crore in the same quarter.

The company's revenue from operations rose 8.9% to ₹3,129 crore as compared to ₹2,873 crore in the third quarter of the previous year. The revenue grew thanks to higher cement sales and better price realization in the main markets.

The operating performance was also much better in the quarter. EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation) increased 9.6% to ₹568 crore as compared to ₹519 crore a year ago.

The EBITDA margin was 18.2% (albeit slightly higher than 18.1% in the same quarter last year), which was in line with industry trends and demonstrated management of cost.

Higher Cement Volumes Drive Earnings

One of the major highlights of the quarter was the company’s steady volume growth. Nuvoco Vistas sold 5.3 million metric tonnes of cement, which is a 5% year-on-year increase.

The higher sales volumes have contributed to revenue and profit growth with excellent demand for infrastructure, housing, and commercial construction projects in India.

Lower Freight costs help to improve profit

The company also had lower transportation expenses in the quarter.

Freight and forwarding costs fell sequentially to ₹838 crore compared with ₹871 crore in the previous quarter. The lower logistics expenses helped make the company profitable and offset inflationary pressures in other operating costs.

Cement manufacturers have seen lower freight costs take place in recent times, and transportation is now a significant part of the total costs.

Improvement of the growth outlook

During the June quarter, Nuvoco Vistas inaugurated the new 2 million metric tonnes per annum grinding plant at the Limla Cement Plant in western India.

The additional capacity is expected to improve production efficiency and market penetration in western India, as well as operating leverage, as cement demand continues to grow.

As a result, the expansion is in line with the long-term strategy of the firm to expand its manufacturing organization and more effectively penetrate the high-growth regional markets.

Market Performance

The sharp rally on Tuesday helped Nuvoco Vistas recover some of its recent market losses. But over the past 12 months, the stock has fallen just about 5.2% vs. a 0.34% decline in the Nifty 500 index.

For the past year, it has traded within a 52-week range of ₹267.25 to ₹477.50.

Nuvoco Vistas is trading at a P/E ratio of 29.27 as of today (6.23 p.m. in Mumbai), with a market capitalization of about ₹12,015 crore.

Outlook

Industry analysts are optimistic about India's cement sector as government infrastructure spending, housing projects, and urban development initiatives are ongoing in India.

Investors will track cement demand, pricing, raw material costs, and infrastructure investments over time to determine if Nuvoco Vistas can keep up its earnings momentum in FY27.

The company’s growth in capacity, good operational performance, and improved profitability point to the company being well-placed to leverage the growth opportunities in the Indian cement industry in the future.
