Google Pay Introduces 'Ask Google Pay' and Expands Flex with SBI Card

Google Pay has announced two major changes to improve the digital payments experience in India. The platform has added the AI-powered Assistant “Ask Google Pay” to a platform that helps users with payment-related questions, and it is also making Flex payments more available to millions of consumers with the launch of SBI Card.

Google Pay Ask Google Pay

The new Ask Google Pay feature is a quick and chatty way to ask questions about transactions, account settings, payment methods, rewards, security features, and other Google Pay features that will reduce the need for you to go through the many menus and customer support channels to get help with everyday banking and payment tasks.

Another big step is that Google Pay now has partnered with SBI Card, one of India’s largest credit card providers, to offer Flex payment. The Flex feature provides all customers with a flexible repayment option for making larger purchases manageable.

For the online financial services market to be more convenient and therefore more intelligent is in demand. Flexible payment solutions are becoming more popular as consumers want to control their spending rather than just take credit. By putting these services directly into the payment app, Google Pay is becoming much more than a peer-to-peer service and more of a financial services platform.

Google Pay recently announced new features from the latest update which is only the latest manifestation of the growing technology and embedded finance used in India's rapidly expanding digital payments landscape. As soon as Google Pay offers more efficient and intuitive customer service for users in terms of customer service, we believe SBI Card will also give them more payment options for everyday and high-value transactions. As digital payment platforms continue to evolve, these features are expected to enhance the user experience and cement Google Pay's position in India's very competitive fintech space.
