Gold Prices Surge June 12, 2026 - 24K, 22K, and 18K Rates Up from Yesterday

Gold prices in India rose sharply today, reversing the decline seen yesterday. Rising demand and the global cues have raised bullion prices.

According to the latest figures, 24K gold is at ₹14,858 per gram, which is up ₹294 from ₹14,564. 22K gold is at ₹13,620 per gram, up ₹270 from ₹13,350. 18K gold is at ₹11,144 per gram and up ₹221 from ₹10,923.

The sharp rise in gold prices has shown how volatile gold is and how dependent it is on global currency movement, investor sentiments, and local demand. The rebound could be linked to continued buying interest ahead of the weekend, as well as to the global trend of gold as a safe‑haven asset in times of economic uncertainty.

The increase follows a period of weakness earlier this week, when gold prices declined as the dollar climbed and bond yields rose. Today’s bounce is indicative that investors are once again turning to gold as a hedge against inflation and market instability.

The rise in prices for retail buyers could affect short‑term buying decisions, particularly in the jewelry industry. But for long‑term investors, the rise in price is a sign that gold is still a good store of value. The festive and wedding season could also pressure prices in the next week.

So far today, gold prices have increased, with 24K, 22K, and 18K gold up from yesterday. The rebound in the market indicates that bullion trading is dynamic in nature and local and global factors are still to be factored in. Investors and consumers will remain in touch with gold, and it is still an important asset in the Indian financial system in the current context.
