BazaarNow Raises ₹72 Crore to Expand Quick Commerce in Tier II & III Cities

BazaarNow, a Bengaluru-based quick commerce startup, has raised ₹72 crore in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation of Whiteboard Capital, Antler and a number of angel investors. All industry leaders and partners were involved in the round including Vidit Aatrey of Meesho, Prashant Sachan of AppsForBharat, Nitin Saluja of Chaayos, Siddharth Gadia of Zeno Health, and Ayyappan R of FirstClub.

The new company BazaarNow is a localized quick commerce company with Tier II and Tier III cities and is founded by former Zepto executives Priyanshu Jain, Arjun Harish, and Tarithmay Mandal. Unlike metro‑centric rivals, the startup is betting on India’s next 700+ cities and delivering groceries, fruits and vegetables in a vernacular‑first manner to connect with local consumers.

The new capital will be used to expand operations, enhance supply chains and enhance technology infrastructure. BazaarNow aims to develop a logistics backbone that can cope with the challenges of smaller cities, where consumer demand is rising but infrastructure challenges remain. It will focus on a vernacular‑first approach to be able to bridge accessibility gaps and make a shopping experience for non‑English speaking customers better.

BazaarNow has so far been launched in January 2026 and already has over 1,800 orders per day in one store and is estimated to be bringing in 1,800 orders per day from 1,800 orders per store. This rapid growth is a testament to its local quick commerce model which is about community-based demand and efficient last‑mile delivery. The founders believe Tier II and III cities are expected to be the next frontier of India’s e‑commerce boom with consumers looking for convenience and speed in the process of everyday shopping.

BazaarNow’s funding round is a strong affirmation of its differentiated strategy, industry experts say. Major metro players like Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit and BigBasket have a huge market share but BazaarNow’s focus on smaller cities could make it a unique niche. And to have experienced angel investors as partners to back up the startup’s vision and execution ability is also a big bonus.

BazaarNow’s ₹72-crore funding round is a significant step in its development to redefine quick commerce in India’s cities and the way to make things more efficient for small and medium sized cities and to make the business sector local in India as a whole. With such excellent backing, a vernacular-first platform, and rapid traction, the startup is well-positioned to scale in Tier II and III cities, challenging incumbents and changing the face of localized delivery in India.
