Bajaj Housing Finance Q1 Profit Jumps 23% to ₹715 Crore; Total Income Crosses ₹3,000 Crore

Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd. reported a strong financial performance in the first quarter of FY27 and the company reported impressive profit growth of 22.6% year on year to ₹715 crore and revenue growth of ₹715 crore in the three months to end-of-March 2017 from the previous quarter, thanks to increasing lending growth along with a higher income.

According to the company's regulatory filing with the stock exchanges, net profit was ₹715 crore in the April-June quarter of FY27 and ₹583 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The robust earnings demonstrate the continued growth in India's housing finance industry with good demand for home loans and strong credit growth, and disciplined financial management.

Total Income Climbs 17%

Bajaj Housing Finance also showed healthy growth in total income during the quarter.

The company’s total income rose 17% year-on-year to ₹3,063 crore, from ₹2,616 crore in the same period last year.
