Ambani‑Backed Robotics Start‑Up Seeks $100 Million to Lead India’s Automation Market

Addverb Technologies on top of that list of startups backed by Reliance’s Reliance Industries is looking to raise more than $100 million to accelerate its push into humanoid robots, artificial intelligence and advanced automation. The company, backed by Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries, is in the business of becoming one of the top 10 robotics companies in the world within the next 5 years.

Addverb Technologies is already a major player in automation; it is established in warehouse robotics, material handling systems and AI-driven solutions. The fresh funding round will also encourage its entry into humanoid robotics and next-generation automation platforms which are increasingly seen as crucial for global manufacturing and logistics.

One of Addverb’s unique strengths is its international presence. More than half of Addverb’s revenue today comes from overseas markets like Europe, the United States and Southeast Asia. That international exposure not only diversifies the income stream of the company but it also allows it to compete with the world’s robotics giants in the international competitive arena.

Reliance’s support brings Addverb valuable strategic advantages. The conglomerate’s extensive network of retail, energy and telecom sectors gives the start-up access to robotics solutions at scale and access to capital and infrastructure at scale. Analysts say this synergy can put Addverb ahead of potential competitors in India’s fast-growing automation industry.

The robotics sector in India is expected to grow rapidly as it is driven by the need for efficiency, cost reduction and digital transformation. Addverb's focus on humanoid robots and AI-powered automation is part of a trend toward AI-driven automation at every stage of business from smart factory to consumer services. And the $100 million fund-raising will also attract global investors in the company when it comes to its ambitious targets and Reliance is there as an investor.

In short, Addverb Technologies’ funding plan signifies not only the growing role of robotics in India as technology is increasingly being developed at the expense of human labor and how Reliance is positioning the country’s technology future. The fund-raising would help to accelerate Addverb to become a global robotics leader and help India participate in the next wave of automation and AI innovation.
