SBI Funds Management Ltd., India’s largest asset management company, is set to launch one of the biggest initial public offerings (IPOs) of 2026. The firm will open for subscription on Tuesday, July 14, and close on Thursday, July 16, with an Offer for Sale (OFS) plan to raise around ₹11,693 crore.

The IPO is an Offer for Sale, and SBI Funds Management will not receive any proceeds from the issue. Instead, the money raised will go to the existing promoter shareholders.

- State Bank of India (SBI) will sell part of its stake.
- Amundi India Holding, the joint venture partner, will sell part of the holdings.
The promoters are also offering approximately 20.37 crore equity shares, or approximately 10% of the company’s equity.
Special quota for SBI Shareholders
One of the interesting features of the IPO is the reserved portion for eligible SBI shareholders. Around 1.3 crore shares have been put into the shareholder reservation category, and eligible SBI shareholders may apply separately under this quota.
Moreover, employees are entitled to a ₹54 per share discount on the issue price.

SBI Funds Management is the investment manager of SBI Mutual Fund, India's largest asset management company by quarterly average assets under management (QAAUM). As of 31 March 2026, the company had about 12.5 trillion mutual fund assets and had more than 18 million unique investors in India.
Its wide distribution networks, digital investment systems, and strong backing from State Bank of India and global asset manager Amundi have made it one of the country’s strongest players in the asset management industry.
