Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will continue through 2026 to provide income to millions of farmers across India. The farmers are paid ₹6,000 per annum in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each, directly into their banks through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Eligibility Criteria
Small and Marginal farmers owning up to 2 hectares of cultivable land are eligible.
Farmers must have updated Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
However, institutional landholders and income tax payers are excluded from this list.
Land records should be verified by the state authorities to ensure that all land records are verified by the beneficiary.
Installment Schedule in 2026. PM-KISAN releases three installments annually: April–July, August–November, and December–March.
For 2026, the next installment is expected to take place between June and July, and farmers’ accounts will be directly credited.
